In terms of food, the deer really deserves full marks. You can definitely look forward to very tasty food. I get deductions because the prices are far too high. Compared to the restaurants in the surrounding area, e.g. the post office in Fischen, the schnitzel with salad costs 6 € less and tastes delicious. We also waited almost an hour for the deer to eat. As I said, the taste was great, the service was also great (very nice), but I just don't like the prices.

Corona: A table reservation is recommended. 2-3 days in advance. That you get a table by chance is rather unlikely with the crowds who are on vacation at the moment. In the rustic ambience, you are attentively attended to by well-dressed service staff wearing (correct) mouth protection. The distance regulation is well solved here at the tables and additional transparent walls create even more seating 👍 The food was not long in coming and was very tasty. We will be back.

A decent restaurant with southern German cuisine, located directly on the main street. Parking at the house. The menu is moderately extensive, but everyone should find something. The prices are normal.

We had ordered takeaway food for the purpose of corona. (Thanks that it is possible, unfortunately it is not offered everywhere.) The food was ready on time and packed in a cardboard box. (So ​​also works without plastic). The food was still warm. Portion size is completely sufficient. My pork knuckle was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Just as it should be !! Dumplings and red cabbage were delicious too. Gladly again!

When I drove up with my family to eat after hiking in Oberstdorf-the entrance was to {although I googled beforehand to be sure that it was open}, from the parking lot side access to the Tarasse was open, because a man was sunbathing. We were here for the last time 7 months ago. Now we visited the restaurant for the second time. It is still very good. The service was very nice and helpful. The inn is highly recommended.

Great place to stay the night and great across to eat. We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are great and modern. Combine that with nice staff (that also speak English) and some good food at the restaurant.
